April Favorites

I’ve decided to start doing monthly favorites posts. You see a lot of these videos on Youtube, but I have recently seen a few people do them in blog posts and it inspired me to give it a shot!

Here’s what I loved for the month of April!

I have been trying to push myself to wear brighter lipsticks lately and this has truly been a favorite!  It looks quite orange in the tube, but it is more of a pinky coral when applied and is very complimentary to my cool skin tone.  The formula is moisturizing but doesn’t fade too quickly, and the packaging is sturdy and beautiful!

PS… These are currently on sale at Ulta for only $11!  Hopefully they are not being discontinued… hurry and get yours now!  🙂

I am still loving my water tumbler from the Mason Bar Company!  In addition to being such a stylish way to drink my water, and I am now getting enough water every day.  I have the 32 ounce tumbler and I can easily drink three a day at least.  I will definitely be putting more of their fun tumbler wraps on my wish list!  You can read my review of The Mason Bar Company here.

I only recently discovered these, but apparently they have been around a while because my mom told me she was using them in high school!  I love a thick point pen and these are almost marker-like, but will not bleed through.  They come in tons of fun colors and these are the only pens I will use in my planner.

I have been making an effort to be a lot more consistent with my social media and I have really been enjoying Instagram!  It is fun, and a challenge, to keep improving my photos.  My social media links are all in my sidebar… come say Hi and follow! 🙂

This item I snagged in Sephora’s VIB Sale.  I decided to take advantage of the discount and treat myself to this little splurge!  The Marc Jacobs Lolita palette is beautiful just for the compact alone.  It would also be perfect for traveling because of it’s sleek design and versatile colors.  Those colors!  The shades in this palette are perfectly curated, stunning shades… you could easily create several different complete eye looks with these.  In my opinion the formula is a little lacking, especially for the price of this palette, I find them slightly dry and lacking pigmentation, but I have still been using it every day and loving them!

I have never been picky about hair combs.  I would just grab a pack of five from Walmart (Goody or some brand like that) and figure that was good enough.  After many years I decided that maybe I should invest in a better one and tried this one from Cricket on a recommendation.  As soon as I pulled it out of it’s wrapper I could tell a MAJOR difference!  The comb is heavy and sturdy (no more pieces falling out) and I imagine it could last a lifetime.  It also has a wonderfully smooth finish so it glides through the hair.  I am so glad I made the decision to try a quality comb!
