High Five For Friday – Hello Again!

H54F Header 9-18-15Hello everyone and Happy Friday!  Long time no blog post!  Don’t worry, I haven’t given up on this space, I have simply been trying to keep up with the rest of life these days.  So this H54F will be not just updates from the last week, but recent updates to bring you up to date.  Hopefully this will be the beginning of more regular posting!

1. The biggest and most time consuming task I have been facing is the fact I have a new job!  As you know, I work full time and blog on the side. I am still working in the financial industry, but I have moved to a new company and I am loving it!!!  The process of leaving my old job was a struggle and not as pleasant as I hoped it would be, but it has all been made up for since I am so much happier in my new place.  The position itself and the hours are better, and the atmosphere and my co-workers are great.  However, adjusting to any new job is a time consuming task and I am happy to be finally settling in.

2. On a fun fashion note, my sweet hubby bought me present to celebrate my new job.  Not only did he take me shopping for some new work clothes, but he spoiled me to pieces with this amazing Coach bag!  The leather is beautiful, the size is perfect for me, and I have loved the color for summer and plan on carrying it into fall.  If you are interested, you can find similar bags here.

3. Nate and I have finally completed our flip house and we are so proud of how it turned out!  We spent every spare moment there that we were not at work, and while I have loved the process, I am ready to be done.  I cannot wait to share with you all the pictures of this exciting transformation!

4. Remember that tiny little garden I shared pictures of earlier in the spring?  It grew and we harvested a few of our own veggies!  The garlic was pretty much a failure, but we had some onions and the best jalapeno plants you have ever seen. I had a hard time staying a step ahead of the weeds,  but I am so happy with how our little space turned out!

5. I have gotten to try some fun new beauty items recently! Some of these I plan on reviewing in more detail, but a few of my favorites have been: First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads, Fresh Black Tea Age Delay Cream and Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster.

6. We are adding a bonus item today… because I MUST mention how excited I am to begin decorating for fall!!! I have a few things out already and am on the hunt for a perfect fall wreath. Dare I try to make my own?! My poor hubby has a sensitive nose and so I cannot burn some of my favorite fall candles (bye, bye Bath & Body Works Leaves, she says with a sniffle), but I have a few that are husband approved and they are burning non-stop!

Fall is in the Air

I hope your week was wonderful… it feels so good to post again!  Stay tuned for some more beauty posts and another installment of Oregon Honeymoon Diaries.  See you soon!
