My Favorite Apps

Good morning! Today I thought I would share with you some of my favorite apps for my phone and tablet. A lot of these are pretty standard but hopefully there may be a few here that you would like to give a try! Both my phone and my tablet are Samsung products, so all these apps should be available for either IPhone or Android.

My most used apps are obviously for my social media accounts. The ones I use are Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest. Since for a couple of these I have both public and private accounts, I keep my blog social media accounts on my tablet and my personal ones on my phone. This is the most convenient way for me to manage multiple accounts.

My favorite social media platforms are Instagram and Pinterest because I love how visual they are. I find myself inspired by beautiful pictures, and it also reminds me of the importance of upping my own photography game.

I also have a Bloglovin app where I can post my own work and follow all my favorite bloggers all in one place, Youtube (because I have a slight addiction), and the WordPress app so I can edit posts and track my stats on the go.

The Photoshop Express app is a nice tool (free) for editing photos that offers better options than your standard Instagram filters.

Wunderlist is a recent discovery of mine and I keep it right on the home page of my phone! It is like a master list of life… where I can make as many lists as I want, for whatever categories I need, all in one place. It also seamlessly syncs with a desktop version, so I can add to-do’s at the office as well.

It is probably a bad sign that I have the Sephora app on the home page of my phone. But it’s there, and it is a VERY good app. User friendly with no bugs. I recently reached VIB status, which is a sign that I have spent much too much in Sephora (hangs head in shame).

I use My Fitness Pal to track my diet (sometimes), and All Recipes is my go to spot for recipes and dinner ideas.  All Recipes is very reliable and the user reviews are great… I have never been steered wrong by an All Recipes review.

She Reads Truth is a wonderful app that publishes daily Bible studies focused for women.  This is a great way to have your daily devotion, especially for those who struggle to find time and materials for daily Bible study.  The app also offers many extra study materials, an amazing online community of Christian women, and beautiful photography.

I use both the Flixster and Fandango apps to check out movie reviews and showtimes if we want to head to the theater, and the Starbucks app I keep for my hubby.  The Starbucks app is actually kinda cool, you can purchase a gift card and load the funds on to the app so you can pay with your phone.

The Walmart Savings Catcher is a great feature of the Walmart app! You can scan the barcodes on all your Walmart receipts and the app checks for lower prices at competitor stores, crediting you the difference if any lower prices are found! Your rewards dollars build up on the app… my husband and I have earned about $20.00 for far! I also keep apps for Amazon and Costco handy for quick price checks.

And lastly, I have Gas Buddy which uses the GPS on your phone to quickly locate the cheapest gas near your location. This one is a big hit with the husband!

I have a lot of other apps on my phone and tablet which are still good but less used, but these are the ones that I find myself using on a daily (or almost daily) basis. I would love to hear what apps you can’t live without… let me know in the comments! Have a great day!
