GRAZE… A Snack Subscription Service

Recently I took advantage of an offer to receive my first box free from Graze.  Graze is a subscription service that sends healthy, nutritious snacks to your work or home.  I was intrigued by the idea that I could have snacks handy at my office without resorting to junk food.

The Graze boxes arrive containing eight different snacks in individual portions (the free sample box contains only four).  The boxes are $11.99 each (which includes shipping), and you can have them delivered weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.  You can cancel any time, and you can also suspend the service if you are on vacation or just need a break.

I personally love that you can adjust how frequently you receive the box.  Paying $11.99 a week for snacks is a little steep for me, but once a month or every other week is a perfect healthy treat.  When you register you will automatically be signed up for a weekly shipment, but you can immediately change your shipping preferences once you log in.

Graze focuses on healthy snacks, not just low calorie ones; they use the 80/20 rule… that your food should be 80% good nutrition and 20% a treat.  Each snack has a nutritional benefit and most are under 150 calories.  You can read more about their nutrition information here.

They carry over 100 different types of snacks, and you complete a brief questionnaire on your food preferences.  You can tell them if you are vegan, vegetarian, or gluten free, and can “trash” any snacks you just don’t like the sound of.  As you receive the boxes, you can rate your contents to help them send you only snacks that you love!

For my first box I received Deconstructed Carrot Cake (carrot chews, cinnamon raisins, ginger fudge & walnuts), Sour Cream & Garlic Crostini (sour cream & onion cashews with garlic crostini), Triple Berry Smoothie (mini strawberries, blueberries, cranberries & chewy banana slices) and Original Fruity Flapjack (rustic rolled oat flapjack with dried apples, vine fruits & seeds).

My favorites out of the bunch were the Sour Cream & Garlic Crostini and the Original Fruity Flapjack!  The crostini filled that crunchy/salty void and had a great flavor.  The flapjack was much softer than I expected and had the perfect amount of sweetness!  My least favorite was the Deconstructed Carrot Cake.  I just wasn’t crazy about the ginger fudge, and will probably not get that one again.  However, all the ingredients were fresh and good quality, and  I am so excited for the next box!

To sum up… I think Graze is a great service for fun, convenient and healthy snacks.  Obviously there are more budget friendly snack items out there, and I probably wouldn’t buy this for home or for kids, but it is perfect for a convenient and healthy option at work!  It saves me time spent prepping snacks, and one box will last me two weeks and keep me away from the vending machine.  A winner with me!

Have you tried Graze?  Do you use any subscription services?

This post is not sponsored, I’m just not that cool.  🙂

  1. Neat idea! I’ve been looking into snack/food subscription boxes, might need to add this one to my list.

  3. In the UK we pay about £3.99 a box, personally, I think it’s good value, I ended up ordering one every fortnight for about six month, however, they started to get repetitive after a while so I would recommend only getting them as a treat every so often!

    • Thank you so much for sharing the UK price! That will be so helpful for readers. I don’t personally mind eating the same foods regularly, but a lot of people do and I imagine it could get repetitive. Thanks for sharing!

This sounds like a great option to have around for a quick easy snack that is not going to bust your diet. It must be exciting to try new flavors which helps because boredom can be a diet wrecker too.
