Valentine’s Day Traditions I Found on Pinterest

Attention! If your name is Nathan and you are my husband, stop reading this post now!

For the last two years I have followed the same tradition for my husband’s Valentine’s Day gifts, and he loves it just as much every year.

I have used the “Fourteen Days of Valentine’s” idea that you see a ton on Pinterest. There are several versions of this out there, but basically each day I leave him a small gift to find with a love note that matches the gift.  For example, a bag of peanuts with a note saying “I’m NUTS about you!”

Nate absolutely loved this, even the second year in a row! I think guys appreciate those sweet little touches just as much as we do. 🙂

I used a combination of free printables from The Dating Divas, The Six Sisters Stuff via The Dating Divas, Mommy by Day and Crafter by Night, and Cupcake Diaries Blog so I could tailor the gifts to his taste.  I will list the phrases that I chose to use this year at the end of this post

Last year, I added another twist and I had him complete a Valentine’s Day scavenger hunt to find his main gift on the 14th.  There were four cards with clues that took him on a hunt around the house, finally leading him to his gift which I had hidden.  I used the ideas from Mister B and Me’s post.

Pinterest has so many fun ideas for Valentine’s Day, you can check out my Pinterest Valentine’ Day board here.

Whether you exchange large gifts or small, this is such a fun way to add some extra excitement and laughs to your Valentine’s Day tradition.

Phrases I used for my “Fourteen Days of Valentines” –

“You’ve stolen a PIZZA my heart”

“I wouldn’t CHEWS anyone but you”

“I’m NUTS about you”

“You are one HOT TAMALE”

“We were MINT to be”

“You make my heart BUBBLE over”

“Life would be un-BEAR-able without you”

“You have o-FISH-ally stolen my heart”

“I think you are SODA amazing”

“You ROCK my world”

“I’ve got a CRUSH on you”

“You are the CREME of the crop”

“I like how you ROLL”
